Wedding Crashers is a movie that will make you laugh from beginning to end. This raunchy comedy stars Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn as pals who crash weddings to pick up women.
But, real love gets in the way of their bachelor lifestyle and soon their womanizing ways are cast aside. It’s a hilarious film which is perfect to watch with your partner or friends, but maybe don’t let kids see this one!
2. Bridesmaids
Looking for a female-led comedy that will have you splitting your sides with laughter? You’re in luck. Bridesmaids is one of those movies that you’ll keep coming back to time and time again.
Annie, played by Kristen Wiig, has fallen on hard times and stuck in a tough place. When her BFF Lillian gets engaged, she’s dedicated to making it the best wedding party ever.
But sure enough, everything that could go wrong, does go wrong (including that scene). You’ll love this movie from beginning to end and it’s certain to make you laugh out loud.
3. Bride Wars
When two best friends get engaged at the same time, they’re excited to plan their weddings. But it turns out to be a recipe for disaster as they become more and more competitive with each other.
This wedding comedy stars Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway who go from BFFs to sworn enemies fast. Everything is going well until they both want to book their wedding at the same place, on the same day.
Thus ensues humiliating pranks and dirty tricks to bring each other down. This movie is a great one to watch with some friends and you’re certain to enjoy every minute from it.
4. The Proposal
Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds star in the 2009 comedy The Proposal. Bullock plays a hardball boss who faces deportation back to Canada as her green card expires. She turns to employee Ryan Reynolds, who despises her, to marry her so she can stay.
They must prove that they’re a legit couple, so they spend the weekend at his parent’s house in Alaska. It leads to many embarrassing moments, but in true rom-com style, they fall in love in the end.
Everyone loves Ryan Reynold’s quick wit and Sandra Bullock makes any movie fantastic. This is another film you’ll come back to and you won’t regret watching it.
5. Four Weddings and a Funeral
No wedding movie list would be complete without a Hugh Grant film. There’s none better than Four Weddings and a Funeral, an absolute classic.
Grant plays a bachelor who keeps meeting an American woman played by Andie McDowell. They have an instant spark but they always drift apart.
But they keep bumping into each other at four weddings and a funeral and hit it off. Soon it becomes clear they’re destined to be together. It’s a classic rom-com that leaves you feeling great after watching so make sure to add it to the list.
6. Mamma Mia
Mamma Mia is one of the most successful and best-loved musicals and made over $600 million worldwide. When Sophie finds out she has three possible dads, she invites them all to her wedding.
The best combination is a rom-com with ABBA songs, so this film will not disappoint. ABBA may not be ideal for your own wedding though, so you might want to check out these bands instead.

7. My Best Friend’s Wedding
If there’s one genre Julia Roberts is great at, it’s a romantic movie. My Best Friend’s Wedding is one of those feel-good films that will help make any bad day better.
Julia Roberts plays a woman who realizes that she loves her best friend after he tells her he’s engaged. Of course, she tries her best to sabotage the wedding only to realize it’s unrequited love.
It may not be the same as a lot of other rom-coms, but it is a heart-warming film which teaches us a lesson about friendship.
8. I Love You, Man
There are a lot of wedding rom-coms which center around female friendships and true love. But I Love You, Man is a little different.
When Peter gets engaged to his long-term girlfriend, they are both ecstatic. But when planning the wedding, he soon comes to realize he has no male friends. He sets out on a journey to find some male friends to have a best man for his wedding. He meets Sydney Fife and they hit it off right away.
It’s a story of platonic man-love, something that everyone can enjoy watching.
