1. The Office
Objectively the best show ever created, The Office is a classic that everyone with a sense of humor is sure to love. This mockumentary-style sitcom is about the day-to-day life of employees at Dunder Mifflin Paper Company lead by the clueless and inappropriate but well-intentioned regional manager Michael Scott.
Those in the workplace go through funny and irreverent situations that are sure to make you laugh out loud and see the beauty of ordinary things.
2. Brooklyn 99
Like The Office, Brooklyn 99 is a sitcom created by comedy genius Michael Schur. This show follows the officers at the NYPD and their daily lives and loves. As childish but genius detective Jake Peralta solves cases, he grows a lot, which is a fun journey to watch in and of itself. However, this show is made especially impressive because of the side characters, all of whom you’re sure to love.
3. How I Met Your Mother
Sorry to push so many sitcoms at you, but nothing screams “binge-watching” as a good sitcom does! How I Met Your Mother is the story of five friends who live in New York City. The main character narrates the story from 20 years after the events of the story, telling his children about, well, how he met their mother.

4. Pretty Little Liars
Pretty Little Liars isn’t a sitcom (finally!) but rather is a thriller series about the inhabitants of a town called Rosewood, Pennsylvania.
One year after Alison, the most popular girl in school, goes missing and is presumed dead, the other girls in her clique begin to receive threatening texts from someone called ‘A.’ Threatened with the revelation of their dark secrets as well as potential physical harm, the girls need to figure out who ‘A’ is before it’s too late.
5. Urusei Yatsura
If you’re a fan of anime and are open to seeing something vintage, then Urusei Yatsura is a fantastic anime series that you’ll love binging. This wacky 80s comedy follows Ataru, a particularly unlucky high-schooler, who is randomly selected to duel with an alien princess to save the world. The princess, Lum, quickly falls in love with him and administers powerful electric shocks to him every time he so much as looks at another woman.
This 80s anime is the archetype for many modern tropes, which is super exciting to watch the evolution of!
